In general, Protestants do not have a formal system of canonization like the Catholic Church does, so they do not officially recognize saints in the same way. However, some Protestant denominations do honor and commemorate individuals who have lived exemplary lives of faith and service, referring to them as "saints" in a more general sense. These individuals are often seen as role models and inspirations for the faith community. **

Some free church Protestants may worship the sun as a way to connect with nature and see it as a symbol of God's creation. They may view the sun as a powerful force that provides light, warmth, and sustenance to all living things, reflecting God's love and presence in the world. Additionally, worshipping the sun may be a way for these individuals to break away from traditional religious practices and embrace a more personal and spiritual connection to the divine. **

The Protestant movement originated in the 16th century as a response to the perceived corruption and abuses within the Roman Catholic Church. Key figures such as Martin Luther, John Calvin, and Huldrych Zwingli played significant roles in challenging the authority of the Catholic Church and advocating for reform. Their criticisms of practices such as the selling of indulgences and the authority of the Pope led to the development of new theological perspectives and the eventual formation of separate Protestant denominations. The movement spread throughout Europe and beyond, leading to significant religious and social changes. **

Protestants do not have the practice of confession as it is not a sacrament in their tradition. Protestants believe in the direct relationship between the individual and God, and they can confess their sins directly to God without the need for a priest as an intermediary. They emphasize personal repentance, prayer, and seeking forgiveness from God rather than through the sacrament of confession. Protestants also prioritize the authority of the Bible over the authority of the church hierarchy in matters of faith and practice. **

Protestants do not have confession in the same way that Catholics do because they do not believe in the sacrament of confession as a necessary means of receiving forgiveness for sins. Instead, Protestants believe in the direct relationship between the individual and God for the forgiveness of sins, and they often practice private confession and repentance directly to God. Additionally, Protestants emphasize the authority of the Bible as the ultimate source of spiritual guidance, rather than relying on the tradition of confession as practiced in the Catholic Church. **

Protestants were hated in the past for a variety of reasons, including their rejection of certain Catholic doctrines and practices, which threatened the power and authority of the Catholic Church.
